CARBON T700 UD FRAME AND SWING ARM
Wisper’s flagship bikes – the Wolf Carbon and Wildcat Carbon are manufactured using a lightweight T700 UD carbon construction that strikes an effective balance between power transfer and comfort.
HORST LINK SUSPENSION SYSTEM
Wisper have also utilised a Horst Link suspension system on the rear swing arm to provide the rider with greater comfort, delivering more responsive handling and a reduction in feedback through the suspension under braking
TRUNNION MOUNTED REAR SHOCK
A Trunnion mount has been used in the full suspension frames to connect the rear shock to the frame. This style of connection enables the rear suspension to out perform the usual set up delivering increased rear shock durability, less friction, a greater stand over height and a smoother pedal stroke
HEADTUBE
The new frame design delivers the best of both worlds – an externally shaped head tube with bigger diameter at the bottom and weight saving smaller diameter at the top. Wisper headtubes are always designed with a tapered fork and the result is to deliver superb stiffness and precise steering even in the toughest conditions without increasing the weight of the frame unnecessarily.
12-148 THRU-AXLE ‘Boost’
Due to the widening of the hub spacing by 6mm, the spoke angles become flatter resulting in a stiffer and stronger wheel and paired with the stiffness increasing attributes of a through axle. The wider hubs and cranks with wider bottom brackets push the chain line further outwards and enable extra short chain stays for a more agile geometry.
SHIMANO DRIVE SYSTEM
Wisper has designed the Wildcat Carbon around the new Shimano Steps EMTB drive system which is more powerful, compact and weighs less, as well as offering more clearance for those daring descents. The beefed up new motor has a maximum output of 75Nm (250w), making even the steepest of climbs a breeze.
BATTERY
The ultra durable waterproof battery has an MTB dedicated low profile design for improved impact and vibration resistance. The high capacity battery with superb reach and 504Wh offers a consistent recharge and is compatible with the SHIMANO E8000 MTB series. The down-tube mounted battery can be charged to 80% within two hours and 100% in five hours.
SUSPENSION
Front suspension comes in the form of the Rock Shock Yari RC comes with a 35mm chassis, Fast Black upper tubes and Solo Air™ or Dual Position Air™ spring systems, It also features the new refined Motion Control™ IS damper and Rapid Recovery™ rebound. It provides 140 mm of travel. Rear suspension is provided by the RockShox Deluxe RT which comes with the new trunnion mount. The trunnion mount reduces the shock’s eye-to-eye by 25 millimeters, opening up space for lower standover heights and smaller frames.
